Troy, NY - Despite a flurry of activity to close the game, the Clarkson University Women's Soccer team could not get by Rensselaer, dropping a 2-1 Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association (UCAA) decision Saturday afternoon.

The score was just 1-0 in favor of the Red Hawks late in the second half before Rensselaer scored its second goal of the game in the 79th minute. The Golden Knights were far from through, however, scoring a goal just 53 second later when Wendy Spindler (Ava, NY) tallied her third goal of the season. In the final 43 seconds the Golden Knights could not muster another goal, ending the season with a 4-11-2 overall record and a 1-6 mark in the UCAA.

Sophomore goaltender Lauren Arredondo (Allendale, NJ) made 10 saves on 12 shots for the Golden Knights while Regina Primm stopped four shots for Rensselaer, which improved to 8-5 overall and 4-3 in the UCAA.
