ALLGOOD PRODUCES FIVE GOALS IN WEEKEND SWEEP AT UNION

Schenectady, NY - Kate Allgood (Toronto, ONT) scored two more goals on Saturday afternoon to help lead the Clarkson University Women's Hockey team to a 5-1 victory and a weekend sweep over Union College.

Allgood tallied five goals on the weekend to help extend Clarkson's unbeaten streak to four consecutive games. The Golden Knights shutout Union 4-0 on Friday.

Allgood started off the scoring on Saturday with a power-player marker at the 4:22 mark of the first period. Ashley Shaidle (Hudson, OH) and Lauren Lubrano (Ridgefield, CT) each were awarded assists on the goal. After closing the period with a 1-0 lead, the Golden Knights, who improved to 10-7-3 on the season, scored three second-period goals, starting with Emma Madigan's (
Mississauga, ONT) second goal of the season at the 7:22 mark. Christine Bailkowski (Aurora, ONT) and Lubrano each assisted on the goal. Allgood came back with her 10th tally of the season when she scored under two minutes later with Shaidle and Brenna Louey (Brooks, ALB) assisting. Clarkson finished their second-period rally with a goal from Kristi Shaw (Bellville, ONT) at the 11:51 mark. Rachel Long (Colorado Springs, CO) was given an assist on Shaw's goal.

Union finally got on the board at 4:22 in the third period and Louey added her second goal of the season, with Shaidle getting her third assist of the game, at 18:18.

Jessica Finley (Arvada, CO) turned aside 20 of 21 shots in her first collegiate start in the Clarkson goal.



Clarkson out shot Union 41-21 and went 1-for-5 on the power play.

The Golden Knights look to continue on their roll when they face North Dakota at 5:00 pm on Monday.
