KNIGHTS SEE THREE-GAME WIN STREAK SNAPPED BY UNION

Schenectady, NY - After enjoying a three-game winning streak at Alumni Gymnasium, the Clarkson University Women's Basketball team ran into one of the best teams in the region, falling to Union 65-38 in an Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association (UCAA) game Friday night.

Freshman Mickala Henson (Waverly, NY) scored a team-high 10 points, shooting 4-for-7 from the field. After Henson, the rest of the Golden Knights struggled from the field, shooting a combined 8-for-34 from the floor. Kate Quist (Winchendon, MA) grabbed a game-high eight rebounds while Linda Fernandez (Kennebunkport, ME) added five steals.

Courtney Shepard and Krystal Hammond led the Dutchmen with 11 points each. The Golden Knights fell to 5-8 overall and 0-2 in the UCAA and Union improved to 8-2 and 2-0.

Clarkson returns to action on Saturday when they visit Skidmore College.
