CU Women's Soccer Preview - vs St. Lawrence (10/29)

Tori Sailor is one of Clarkson's four seniors.
In the final game of season, the Clarkson University Women's Soccer team will honor four seniors as the Golden Knights take on rival St. Lawrence on Hantz Turf Field.

Clarkson is 5-9-2 overall and 0-5-2 in the Liberty League in head coach Kelsey Yam's debut season. After a tie with Skidmore last weekend, Yam is tied for third all-time at Clarkson for wins in her debut season.  With one more win, she will pass current assistant athletic director Laurel Kane who notched five victories in the 2001 season, and will trail Christine Scuderi and Sarah Raymond who had eight wins in 1999 and 2011.

Clarkson's leading scorer is Lauren Flynn who has 22 points on 10 goals and two assists. Her 22 points are the most since Shannon McCain notched 24 in 1995 and is tied for the fourth-highest single season total in Clarkson history. With one more goal, Flynn would also tie Maria Hundiak for the single season record. As it stands, Flynn is tied with McCann and Angie Olin for second all-time. Flynn's 17 goals in the last two seasons is also second to McCann's 19 in the 1994 and 1995 seasons.

Also playing their final game on Saturday is Kanoe Eichholz, Tori Sailor, and Brianna Weber. Eichholz has appeared in 64 games and has started 61 of them. She has 10 career points, including five this season. Sailor has missed just two of 67 possible games and has 12 career points on five goals and two assists. Weber has appeared in 40 career games and has notched a career high seven points in the 2016 season.

St. Lawrence comes into the weekend in the fourth and final Liberty League playoff spot and needing a win ton ensure a postseason berth. The Saints are 9-4-3 overall and 3-3-1 in the Liberty League. St. Lawrence is on a two game winning streak including a 5-0 thumping of RIT. Emily Wade leads the team with 21 points on seven goals and seven assists. Clarkson is 2-31-0 against the Saints all-time.

The two teams will kick off at 1:00 pm on Hantz Turf Field on Saturday afternoon.
