Only one more game is ahead for the Clarkson University Women's Basketball team before it goes into the first semester break, so the Golden Knights will be looking for some momentum and their first conference win when they take on Route 11 rival St. Lawrence University Tuesday night at Alumni Gymnasium.

Live Stats/Live Video

The Series: The Golden Knights are 21-69 all-time against St. Lawrence as the two teams split in 2018-19. The Saints won a sloppy game in Canton in the first semester, 54-45, but Clarkson was more than up to task in the second meeting, winning 64-48 at home.

Key Stats for Clarkson (4-3, 0-2 Liberty League): Senior Molly Stewart leads the Liberty League in 3-point field goals made with 18 and is first in scoring for the Golden Knights at 13.4 points per game. She needs just two more 3-pointers to take third all-time in program history for that category. A year ago, she averaged 18 points and 6 rebounds per contest versus the Saints. Three other players are just under double digits in scoring for Clarkson, with freshman Mariah Benavides (9.7 ppg), Hannah Earl (9.6 ppg) and Emma Buonanno (9.0 ppg) just a big game away from reaching that figure. Buonanno also leads the conference in steals per game (3.3 spg) and is among the conference leaders in offensive rebounds with 3.6 orpg. Clarkson leads the league in scoring defense (52.9 ppg).

Key Stats for St. Lawrence (3-4, 1-1 Liberty League): The Saints trail only Clarkson in scoring defense in the Liberty League, giving up just 59.3 points per contest. SLU has outscored its opponents this year despite the worst turnover deficit in the league, coughing up the ball 3.43 times more per game than the opposition. Ava McCann is second in the league in 3-point field goals (16) to Clarkson's Stewart, and leads the Saints in scoring at 11.6 points per game. Junior Katie Frederick is averaging a double-double at 10.6 points and 12.1 rebounds per game, ranking second in the league in the latter category. Olivia Middleton leads the conference in assists (3.9 apg) and is second on the team in scoring (11.0 ppg) while Olivia Barringer is eighth in the league and second on the team in rebounding (8.4 rpg).
