Fresh off a 1-0-1 weekend on the road, the Clarkson University Women's soccer begins the home stretch in a literal sense, as the Golden Knights will be playing at Hantz Field for the final three games of the regular season, beginning with a key matchup against Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute on Saturday afternoon.

The Series: The Golden Knights and Engineers played one another twice in 2023, with Clarkson coming away with a 2-0 win in late October and RPI claiming a 2-1 victory in a Liberty League First Round playoff contest at Hantz Field. Clarkson out shot the Engineers 36-15 in the two contests a year ago. Overall, the Knights are 11-25-5 against RPI.

Key Stats for Clarkson (4-6-3, 1-3-2 Liberty League): For most of the season, sophomore have led the Golden Knights on offense, but an offensive burst from senior Chloe Hodge this past weekend has vaulted her to the top of Clarkson's point-scoring list for 2024. Hodge has three goals and four assists for 10 points to lead the team, a spot she has been in before with team-leading figures at the conclusion of both the 2021 and 2023 seasons. Hodge also moved into second all-time in points at Clarkson (49) after her big weekend. She was a key part of Clarkson's offense against Rensselaer last season as well since she was a part of all of the Knights' goals against the Engineers, scoring twice and assisting on the other goal.

Key Stats for RPI (7-4-2, 2-3-1 Liberty League): Returners for the Engineers contributed to their 2-1 win in the league playoffs against the Knights a year ago, as Brooke Miller accounted for the game-winner and Gwen Barnes assisted on the first goal of that contest. Those two are tied for second on the Engineers in scoring with eight points, behind only Sarah Sedlacek's 10 points (3-4-10). Sierra Skelding and Megan Wampner have each played 540 minutes between the posts for the Engineers in 2024, splitting time consistently. Skelding has started 12 times with a 0.67 goals against average and 28 saves, while Wampner has more decisions with a 1.50 goals against average and 29 saves. The duo has combined for four shutouts.
