The Clarkson Golden Knights concluded the regular season with a 6-2 win at Princeton to finish at 18-15-1, assuring the Knights of their 79th winning season in program history.  Clarkson finished 4-1 in their last five, with wins over the 1st and 2nd place teams in the ECAC.

The Knights would fall behind 1-0 in the first when Ian Murphy would score at 6:57 for the Tigers.  Princeton would out shoot the Knights 13-4 in the opening period, but Autin Roden would hold the Tigers to just the one goal.

It seemed like the Knights were able to find another gear in the middle period, they would start with a 5 on 3 power play and while they didn't score on the power play,
Cody Monds would make it 1-1 at 2:21 just after the penalties expired.

Noah Beck would convert on a wrist shot from the high slot to give the Knights the lead for good at 7:29 on the 2nd.

Princeton would score at 7:30 of the 3rd to cut the lead to 4-2.  The Tigers, who like to play a high octane offense would put pressure on the Knights, but
Anthony Romano would get a breakaway and score at 14:29 to put the game near out of reach and then 4:01 left in the game,
Mathieu Gosselin would convert into the empty net to seal it for the Knights.

With the win, but a Dartmouth win over Yale, Clarkson will remain in 5th and host RPI in a opening round game on Saturday at 7:00 pm.  Season Ticket holders have this game as part of their package.  Tickets will go on sale through the Cheel Ticket office on Sunday at 11 am.
