With a number of first-years joining the fray in 2025-26, the Clarkson University Women's Basketball team will have more depth than in years past as the Golden Knights seek to make another jump in the Liberty League standings this winter.

Guided by third-year head coach Sherry Dobbs and first-year assistant Nicole Jeffrey, the Green and Gold have as many veterans (seven) as freshmen (seven). So while some growing pains may occur at the start for a few of the first-years as they gain experience at the college level, a number of returners will supply leadership and a steadying influence as the Golden Knights navigate the campaign.

The Golden Knights, which increased their win total by six from four victories in 2023-24 to 10 in 2024-25, lost two of their top scorers in Cassidy Dumont and Raelin Burns, as well as backcourt regulars Veronica Tache and Lexi Huiatt. However, Bella Doyle, the team's top scorer and rebounder from a year ago, is back for her senior season. Doyle was among the conference leaders in virtually every category a year ago, averaging 12.0 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.3 blocks per game while shooting 42.5% from the floor, and she should be approaching the 1000-point mark for her career near the end of the 2025-26 season. Doyle is one of just two seniors on the team, joining relative newcomer Riley Cullen, who transferred to Clarkson prior to last season. Cullen saw limited time in her first season with the Knights after taking two years off, but still made an impact in 15 contests for the Green and Gold.

The junior class has combined to start 93 contests over the last two seasons, and will continue to be leaned upon for success.  Last year, Fallon Griffin was playing her first season collegiately after missing the entirety of 2023-24. She averaged 8.6 points per contest and led the team with 48 3-pointers made, proving a strong target along the arc. Elizabeth Aiossa averaged 4.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game last year, continuing as a strong interior presence for the Knights, while Emma Chambers added 3.2 rebounds and 1.0 steals per contest as another frontcourt wing. Addie Kea was usually one of the first players off the bench last season as a key reserve for the backcourt and point guard, notching 3.9 points per game and also picking up 20 steals.

Sophomore Sarah Abbott was the lone first-year player on the team a year ago and fought for minutes on a veteran-laden squad, but she still averaged 1.1 rebounds per game over the course of nine contests in 2025-26.

While Clarkson remains somewhat undersized, the Knights will be big taller thanks to the Class of 2029, with several of those players getting ample minutes out of the gate. Kate Campbell, Olivia Powers, and Eliana York are all 5-9, while both Maddy Polky and Alexis Kress stand at 5-8. Natalie Ellrodt and Aliza Flore are more true guards for the Knights.
