JUNIOR YEAR (2023-24): Ryan was named the Mike Morrison Award winner and will wear #6 this season carrying on the tradition of captains that reflect Morrison’s character being honored with the #6…Ryan saw a strong increase in point production, with 7 goals and 16 assists, good for 4th on the team in total points…Named ECAC All Academic.

SOPHOMORE YEAR (2022-23):  Skated in all 37 games for the Knights...Scored 5 goals and 9 assists for 14 points...Goals came against Mercyhurst (10/22), Quinnipiac (12/3), Holy Cross (1/7), St. Lawrence, (1/28) and in a playoff win vs Brown (3/3)...Honored as the 2023 Mike Morrison '89 Award Winner...Named ECAC All Academic.

FRESHMAN YEAR (2021-22):  Played in all 37 games collecting 3 goals and 10 assists for 13 points...Scored in his first college game against Alaska, also scored against RPI and Union...Had two points against Wisconsin and Union...Was +6 on the season and collected 43 penalty minutes...Named to the ECAC All Academic Team.

Before Clarkson:  Richardson is a big 6'1" left shot forward from Stittsville, Ontario.  He played last season for the Fargo Force of the USHL where he collected 12 goals and 10 assists for 22 points along with 56 pims in 51 games.   

Get to know Ryan:  Ryan majors in the Global Supply Chain Management program in the Reh School of Business...Graduated from Sacred Heart Catholic High School in 2019...Son of Kevin Richardson and Jennifer Richardson...Has an older sister, Katie Richardson and younger sister, Alyssa Richardson...Participated in High School Rugby 2018 World Junior A Challenge  (Team Canada East)

On why he choose Clarkson: "I chose Clarkson because I really like the small town feel and the campus. I was very impressed with the hockey program and atmosphere at Cheel arena."  Also recruited by Dartmouth & RPI.
