CU Swimming & Diving Preview - vs. Saint Michael's College (11/8)

Closing out the dual meet portion of 2025 with nothing but invitationals left in late November and early December, the Clarkson University Swimming & Diving team heads to Vermont to face Saint Michael's College on Saturday.

The Series: Clarkson's men continued a run of dominance against St. Mike's last year, winning by over 100 points for the first time since 2021. The Golden Knights' women lost for the second straight year against the Purple Knights after having won the previous four meets.

Clarkson Men: Carter Lancto won the 1-meter dive in 2023 and then just edged out teammate Gavin Cibelli in the 3-meter dive last year, while Cibelli took the 1-meter title against the Purple Knights. Junior Gavin Stuhler has won the 100 freestyle two years running in the dual meet against St. Mike's, also adding a win in the 50 freestyle last year. Andrew Sammons also won a pair of starts in 2024 against the Purple Knights, taking the 100 breaststroke and 200 breaststroke.

Clarkson Women: The Golden Knights will get a boost in the scoring column from sophomore Aurora Zary now that soccer season has concluded. Zary has been swimming on her own this fall, so she will be well prepared for her first dual meet. Last year was a similar situation, as Zary won the 100 backstroke and 200 backstroke events in just her second collegiate dual meet. Classmates Natasha Hurff (200 freestyle), Katelyn Otis (200 butterfly), and Fiona Reilly (200 individual medley) also claimed victories in last year's meeting against St. Mike's.
